Overview

 

GALE Power Search is a cross-search platform that enables users to do one search across multiple GALE databases, including:

  • GALE OneFile database family:
    • Academic OneFile Select, General OneFile, High School Edition, News, Educator's Reference Complete
  • GALE In Context High School 
  • GALE eBooks 

 

Power Search is a real time-saver for users who might be unsure of which GALE database might have the information they need. Researchers can find relevant content from multiple GALE databases with a single search.

Features & Learning Supports

 

From the GALE Power Search homepage, users can search across multiple GALE databases in several ways:

  • Do a Basic Search or choose Advanced Search
  • Use Search Tools including:
    • Topic Finder
    • Subject Guide Search
    • Publication Search 
  • Select Change Databases at the top right corner of the screen to select/deselect specific databases for cross-searching.

  • From the GALE Power Search interface (or from any of the GALE databases), click Change Databases in the upper-right corner to switch databases or to choose specific databases for cross-searching from the Common Menu, as shown below:
