Workshop Description:  Kurzweil is an integrated scan and read software program that provides multisensory access to reading material and tools for reading, writing, test-taking, and learning.   

 

Outcome:  Participants will learn to use the features of Kurzweil 3000 to prepare for Students and Teachers Accessing Tomorrow.

 

Indicator: Participants will be able to use the software effectively and efficiently.

 

Prerequisite Skills: basic keyboarding skills, basic Kurzweil skills

 

Agenda:

  • Introductions

  • Features of Kurzweil 
  • Exit Ticket  
    • Identify one concrete way that you plan to use Kurzweil in your instructional practice.  Identify how Kurzweil helps address P21 Skills.  
    • What features can you use to customize instruction in the classroom?  How can you purposefully use these features during instruction?
