Studio Design and Layout

There are several ways that you can set up your studio depending on the amount of money you have to start out with.  The following article can be helpful to you in understanding the components needed for the studio design an layout. The powerpoint will give you additional ideas on actual set up, cost, and training ideas for your students. 

  

The following video suggest great ways to set up a tv studio at home which can be applied to school.   The description of the lighting is particularly helpful. 

 

 

 

BCPS Recommendations

 

  • One or more cameras connected to a video switcher

  • Audio mixing capabilities and microphones

  • Lighting (grid, portable, or ambient)

  • AV recording ability

  • Advanced digital editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro or Elements)

  • At least a Dell Computer GX520 with a firewire (IEEE1394) graphics card and cable, at least 250 GB storage, 1GB RAM (or ability to save to an independent server)
