Additional Opportunities for Filming

There are many opportunities that you can use either your Flip Cam or your cellphone to record activities and present them to an individual class, group of teachers or the entire school.

  • take the camera on field trips to record experiences

  • share with those who weren’t able to go

  • have students record comments to narrate the video

  • interview students, staff, and parents about special events

  •  record student performances to share with other classes

  • plays, skits, songs, poetry, dances, reader’s theater, music

  • record student presentations

  • record science experiments/demonstrations

  • students teaching or modeling what they have learned

  • reenactments of historical events

  • weekly class updates (like a newscast)

  • school tours for new students and their families

  • Students can read to the video camera to see their own fluency

  • make commercials for school store, field trips, fundraisers, school events

  • play on broadcast or put on school/PTA website
