Overview
SAFARI Montage is a video streaming library and media repository that provides schools with access to videos and other digital media assets for grades K-8 or 9-12. This content is produced by prominent educational publishers such as PBS, Weston Woods, the History Channel, Reading Rainbow and the Biography Channel. See this overview of the educational content available via Safari Montage. In addition to these curated packages, the Office of Digital Learning can upload digital content created by C & I offices and curriculum writers to Safari Montage; see the Educator Resources section below for details.
Target Audience: Grades K-12 (K-8 video packages in Elementary/Middle Schools; 9-12 video packages in High Schools)
Content Connections: SAFARI Montage supports learning in ALL content areas.

Standards Alignment
- Users can search for content by Common Core State Standard using the Standards tab on the horizontal menu bar, and choosing Common Core State Standards in the "Document Type" drop down menu. Select a Standards Set and then a grade level before using the search button to find content that meets the input criteria.

- Quizzes and Teacher's Guides included for select videos in Supplemental Teacher's Documents.
- Ability to create Playlists of content for curriculum units.

- Navigation in SAFARI Montage is easy using the Dashboard.

Learning Supports & Tools
- Closed Captioning available from the CC button on the video player.
- Some videos include a Quiz or Discussion Guide/Questions (often available in the Teacher's Guide).

- Direct Linking: Directions for creating a direct link to a specific article or resource for curriculum materials or digital learning environments.
- SAFARI/YouTube Integration:
- Request Form for Content to be Uploaded to SAFARI Montage: C & I offices use this form to submit content created by curriculum writers to the Office of Digital Learning for upload to SAFARI Montage. Once uploaded, curriculum developers can create direct links to this content in SAFARI Montage for inclusion in curriculum materials.
